Programs: Is Triple Threat right for me?
We ask a lot from our players. We run a high intensity program and expect that our girls bring 100% to every session.
When evaluating players over the course of the regular season, invitations are offered after careful consideration and also after discussions with players' coaches, clubs and even officials. This said, we generally build our program around players that fulfill or embody the following six core traits, Level, Coachability, Attitude, Readiness, Skill, Spirit. Please see "Selection Criteria" for more detail on our six core traits. We invite a maximum of 20 players to each group for a 5:1 player-to-coach ratio. We work very hard and focus on taking skills to the next level: breaking the habit of picking up the dribble; teaching strong dribbling through the paint; stop playing "safe" and own your game; knowing where you should be aiming for your lay-up; using speed - and patience - against your opponent. The girls that comprise our individual groups generally have competed at a relatively high level so we are able to begin working with an overall high basketball IQ right out of the gate. |
Lexi has always played a “safe” game but Coach Bell taught her it was ok to mess up as long as you were trying your best and trying new things and always pushing yourself. She has never had anyone push her like that before and she flourished under that type of coaching.
